Grapefruit & Avocado Salad

I happened upon this recipe by accident. It was actually through a sequence of random events coupled with my curious nature. Of course there is always a Madame Loves story so here goes......

I usually eat an avocado once a day while at work and one day I ran to the grocery store on my lunch break because I had run out of avocados. While there I said oooh, my salad would probably be tasty with some of these vine ripe tomatoes, so I grabbed some. Sitting right next to the tomatoes was a packet of fresh basil; that went in the basket too. I also frequently eat a grapefruit around lunch time too so I said ooooh let me throw that in there and just see how it tastes. Breakfast and mid-day snacks customarily consist of boiled eggs with some tasty seasoning so I said oooh let me (no, not the egg ;) throw the seasoning on there too. I shook it all up in a container and voila!!

It's been my daily lunch for a couple of weeks now. Today I threw a hamburger patty on the side just for a little more protein. Mmmm tasty. If you're interested in my little weird recipe here goes. I love, love, love this refreshing and juicy salad.

1 whole grapefruit (each slice halved)
1 avocado (sliced)
2 vine ripe tomatoes (in quarters or smaller)
2-3 leaves of chopped basil
Fiery 5 pepper seasoning by Grill Mates (season to taste)

Throw it all in a container and gently shake it up. Enjoy!!
